I really believe that there is a lack of synergy between the animated world and the graphic design world. Here’s is what happens when you apply some simple animation to a decorative typeface.

Pixar are renowned for creating award winning feature length animated films but as you have probably noticed they also tend to screen short films preceding these….showcasing the latest techniques Pixar can achieve.

When I went to watch Toy Story 3 a few weeks ago this fantastic short animation called Day & Night directed by Teddy Newton was shown. Well worth a look.
