OLD FASHIONED ART DIRECTION

These Ads for Umbro posted by Tom Van Schelven on his blog are really nice (you should check out Tom’s work it’s brilliant). It’s nice to see people using props and actually doing things instead of taking the easy way out and photoshopping it. The Glue Society, Sydney posted another great example of this on the Creative Review blog yesterday with a campaign for the Australia Project. It brought back a few memories of a D&AD project a couple of us did a few years back where the easy option was to really on photoshop, but actually doing it really brought the project to life.

To continue the decent beer ads theme. I’m sure you’ve seen these as they are pretty old, great though. I love the writing. Thanks to Matt Johnson and Chris Doyle for the reminder.

Old but gold. Bud lights classic one word spot from back in 2007. I can’t believe it only has 500 or so hits on youtube. Weird.
