There are times when things are just too similar and here is a classic example.

What makes it worse is the fact that they are both dated!!!!

  2. AndyB says:

    14 years too late.

  3. AndyB says:

    Correction…. 16 years too late

  4. Plus the tighter layout of the original works way better. Cheater’s never win.

  5. Tim Sumner says:

    Where did you find that?

  6. David Thompson says:

I’m confused? Is Christmas on the 25th or did they move it to the 30th??? : )
    That works. Shocking and disgraceful!

  7. billy says:

    China?

  8. Jennie spotted it and sent it to me.
Not China…… but some dull un original jobbing amateurs hacks in the home counties.
I haven’t linked it to their site out of pity more than anything else.

  9. Tim Sumner says:

The Rise of inflation on Xmas Tree pots has soared in 14 recent years

  10. Kev Darton says:

Haha, makes me think twice about the sub-head on here http://bit.ly/n5puFZ

  11. Li Rui says:

Yeah Billy, if we use Queen Head stamps and celebrate Christmas in China : )

  12. Billy says:

I was being facetious… due to recent China “copying articles”. Sorry.

  13. RUDE.

There are a few more things on their website that are blatant rip-offs of other stuff I’ve seen before, but done badly.

  14. Tim Sumner says:

    What a glorified Comb.

  15. Tim Sumner says:

At least they have acknowledge it.

  16. Mika says:

Did the “please note” comment* on their site appear before or after this post?

*Please note that this is a recreation of an award-winning piece of work by The Chase. The original can be seen here.

  17. Mika says:

I have a feeling this post could hold the highest number of readers’ comments of all TDOD posts!? It’s caused quite a stir!

  18. Hasn’t it! Rightly so really. That message wasn’t there when I found it so they must of put it up very recently to cover their backs.

  19. Giles says:

The actual circumstances of this classic piece of work being reworked as a satirical “second” class stamp has been explained in full to Andrew and The Chase. Gasp never took credit for this famous piece of work and would never try to. Can everyone just relax.

  20. I agree. Lets all move on. It’ll be christmas before we know it.

  21. Mika says:

Oh no!! It’s happening all over again! http://bit.ly/vyi4xk
