Next to be featured in our Preston Profiles section on TDOD is small Paul (nickname given to him while studying at Preston). Working on mainly advertising and ideas generation under the umbrella name “Small Creative” you will have no doubt already seen some of his work. So make yourself a brew and read Paul’s intriguing profile here.
Great profile. I especially enjoyed reading about Country Life campaign. All the ideas rejected sounded so much better than the actual ad that ran and it’s another classic case cowardice from the client. I think the public is so much more sophisticated than organisations give them credit. Being safe is so boring and predictable. I’m going to copy and paste the bit about ’90% of your best ideas die’ and read it when I’m feeling disheartened. It’s good to know the that frustration is commonplace, more so, when you have very little say within the agency you work for.
