PROJECTING ROOMS

Posted by Jennie Spiller

‘Mr Beam’ uses 3D projection to make it possible to instantly change the design of a living room. Three-dimensional mapping and two projectors control the look of the furniture, wallpapers, and the carpet.

Can imagine the likes of IKEA using this type of thing in a few years time. Not sure about ‘Mr Beam’s’ choice of textiles though!

I love this idea I’ve heard about doing something similar but only for walls using leds to instantly change the colour pattern or design on the walls I think there was even a way of put ing a video up via the leds.

    like the wall at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovbUczmPLOQ

I just love the idea of being able to change the way your house is decorated at the flick of a switch.
