Well done to UCLAN student Neal Fletcher who has had his packaging project for spaghetti featured on the design site Lovely Package a source for the very best that package design has to offer.
“My spaghetti packaging design stemmed from a project I was set on my degree course, we had to pick one of five difficult objects to package (spaghetti, marbles, an egg, a single rose or custard powder). The reason I chose Spaghetti was because I always find myself wasting spaghetti as I’d always cook too much, so I wanted to address that problem in some way.”
See and read more here.
It looks pretty lovely n’all, but it’d use far less packaging and take up a lot less space if it wasn’t split into 6 compartments, but was square ended and simply had a tag (as it does now) opening that only let out enough spaghetti to be a portion.
I clearly missed my vocation in life … to make design more boring.
nice!!! well done for getting it on there!
