I spotted something similar in Home bargains the other week. and Woolworth’s are still going in the UK but as a website apparently. From time to time you spot old Woolworth’s stock in cheapo shops
It looks hideous and seems to be a waste of materials, however it does have a purpose – to help prevent shop lifting, if the packaging was a lot tighter to the product and smaller, it would be far easier to slip into your pocket etc.
Couldn’t agree more. A total waste, However seeing a Woolworths logo has left me unexpectedly wistful.
‘White space’ is clearly not a friend of this packaging design.
Also… A Woolworths store thats still open!?
Yeah Woolworth’s is still going strong in Australia.

Woolworths is a completely different company is Oz i think.
My Step Dad’s Dad was a manager at one of the stores. It’s a food shop i think?
And yes, what a waste, i feel sorry for the designer…
