The Seven Ages of Britain is a series on BBC One. This week was the Age of Money and the beginning of the ‘middle’ class group of people acquiring and developing its own taste in art. The result was a golden age in painting, sculpture an pottery showing the works of Hogarth, Reynolds, Gainsborough, Wedgewood and James Gillray.
