PROTESTING

In the 1970′s & 80′s the youth of our nation were politically aware and had opinions. They were pro -active and got involved through various causes in voicing these opinions and trying to change society and the world for the better. They were idealistic, pro-active and in a constant battle with some form of  authority. Today we have facebook and all is well with the world?

The above flyer is taken from our ephemera archive. Circa – 1978

One Response to “PROTESTING”

  1. the 'yoof' says:

not all. We are still here, still being pro active, still fighting and still talk politics. Yeah most of us live in heated student flats cut off from community but others occupy buildings, take to the streets, organise and design for a fight. Are numbes dwindle as student loans put us into debt and force us to spend a life in servitude and apathy. The universities herd us into companies who design with only profit in mind and encourage no thought other than how well a piece of design can sell a product.
    And yeah facebook…
we think we use the internet for information, but in truth they use it to put us in formation.
All is defiantly not well in the world.
