PEOPLE OF PRESTON

help-wanted

My name is Elizabeth and I am studying Illustration at UCLAN, currently in my third year.

As part of my final project, I intend to illustrate Preston through stories told by people who have spent time here, as a resident, student, visitor or other.

In order to do this I need your stories! Whether sad, funny, good or bad, surprising and/or interesting or just your experience(s) of the city. One word or a thousand, a sentence, phrase, or poem, anything.

As these stories will be the basis of my illustrations, I need your help. I am extremely thankful for your time and if you could get in contact with me this would be wonderful!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks in advance,
Elizabeth Dunning 3rd year Illustration University of Central Lancashire Preston

THE DISSOLVING PLASTIC BAG

Saturday, February 27th, 2010 by Jon

From a range of environmentally minded packaging designed by Cyberpac. When the bag in this film dissolves all that is left is the printing ink, and apparently the water is drinkable once the bag has dissolved. The range is called Harmless and champions other forward thinking environmental packaging.

In the 1970’s & 80’s the youth of our nation were politically aware and had opinions. They were pro -active and got involved through various causes in voicing these opinions and trying to change society and the world for the better. They were idealistic, pro-active and in a constant battle with some form of  authority. Today we have facebook and all is well with the world?
